Approximately 80% of Haitian families lack access to healthcare and basic social services within their communities. Inadequate medical infrastructure, poor sanitation systems, and chronic undernutrition have positioned Haiti at the lowest tier of global health indicators according to the World Bank.

As a result, malnutrition has become a critical national crisis. Nearly half of the population is classified as food insecure, and one in two Haitian children suffers from stunted growth due to insufficient nutrition. Fewer than 50% of Haitians have access to clean drinking water, an alarming statistic even when compared to other developing nations. Coupled with persistent economic instability, these conditions have severely hindered national progress.

For these reasons, JGAF’s continued engagement is not just important, it is imperative.

JGAF Strategic Response Plan

  1. Nationwide Outreach (10-Month Campaign):
JGAF aims to reach all 10 departments of Haiti, prioritizing the most impoverished rural villages first.

  2. Long-Term Impact and Sustainability:
Beyond immediate medical relief, JGAF will implement a follow-up development plan focused on establishing permanent medical centers into each municipality and expanding access to continuous care, sanitation, and nutritional support across Haiti.
